Field helpers for BC independents selling under the Motor Dealer Act / VSA framework.
Purpose
FlashFender provides organizational support for disclosure and sale documents used by BC desks. It does not submit to the VSA or replace BC-specific legal forms your lawyer approves.
What ships
- Inventory condition and disclosure notes usable on BC deals
- Bill of Sale blocks with HST/PST awareness via Settings (PST handling remains your accountant’s domain)
- Audit trail on price and disclosure edits
- Same honesty rules as Ontario: no auto-compliance guarantee
Setup
- Configure business licence and tax numbers in Settings → Business.
- Align BOS template language with BC counsel — adjust printed clauses outside default Ontario bias where needed.
- Train staff on distance sales and cooling-off documentation (process outside app).
Daily workflow
- Record liens, accidents, and structural damage at intake — mirrors OMVIC discipline.
- Verify odometer statement and warranty classification before quote.
- On close, archive BOS + buyer acknowledgements in deal folder.
- Export retention pack per policy (Audit & retention).
